AOP Lalande-de-Pomerol
Situated on one of the finest terroirs of Lalande-de-Pomerol, overlooking the renowned Pomerol plateau, Château Tournefeuille 2025 elegantly showcases the full potential of this emblematic Right Bank appellation. This vintage captivates with its balance, finesse, and authentic expression of fruit.
Predominantly crafted from Merlot and complemented by Cabernet Franc, the blend reveals a generous bouquet of black cherry, ripe plum, blackberry, and violet. Delicate notes of liquorice, sweet spices, and cocoa enrich an aromatic profile that is both precise and alluring.
On the palate, the wine displays a broad and velvety texture, supported by fine, perfectly integrated tannins. The fruit expresses itself with generosity and freshness, while a vibrant tension brings balance and elegance to the overall structure. Oak ageing harmoniously supports the wine without ever masking the purity of the terroir.
The finish is long, harmonious, and persistent, marked by notes of ripe dark fruits, fine chocolate, and a subtle mineral touch. Both approachable in its youth and endowed with excellent ageing potential, Château Tournefeuille 2025 perfectly reflects the style of the great wines of Lalande-de-Pomerol: generous, refined, and deeply expressive.
This vintage will appeal equally to those seeking immediate drinking pleasure and to enthusiasts who wish to follow its evolution over the years.
Located on the heights of Néac, at the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, Château Tournefeuille enjoys a privileged position overlooking the prestigious vineyards of the Pomerol plateau. Thanks to this exceptional location and the quality of its terroirs, the estate has gradually established itself as one of the most respected references of the appellation.
The property is managed by the Petit family, who also own the renowned Château Petit-Village in Pomerol. For several generations, the family has devoted its expertise to enhancing the terroirs of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, with particular attention paid to vineyard precision and the authentic expression of the soils.
The vineyard extends over nearly 18 hectares, planted predominantly with Merlot and complemented by Cabernet Franc. The vines are rooted in a remarkable clay-gravel and clay-silt terroir resting on iron-rich subsoils, geological characteristics that are also found in some of the finest sectors of Pomerol. This geographical and geological proximity gives the estate’s wines a depth and elegance that are particularly sought after.
Managed according to a sustainable and environmentally respectful approach, the vineyard benefits from meticulous care aimed at preserving the natural balance of the soils and encouraging biodiversity. Controlled yields and rigorous grape selection ensure fruit of exceptional quality and optimal ripeness.
Vinification is carried out with great precision in order to preserve the personality of each parcel. Ageing in French oak barrels then refines the structure and develops the wines’ aromatic complexity while fully respecting the identity of the fruit.
Renowned for its elegant, generous, and harmonious style, Château Tournefeuille produces wines that combine the richness and generosity of Merlot with the freshness and finesse characteristic of the great Right Bank terroirs. Today, the estate represents one of the finest expressions of Lalande-de-Pomerol, crafting wines that are charming in their youth yet fully capable of evolving beautifully over many years.
