Founded in 1832, the Castarède house is the oldest House in Armagnac and watches over a collection of vintages, the oldest of which dates from 1888. This unique know-how built up by the six successive generations has earned them a reputation as excellence around the world. This estate, which surrounds a 16th century castle, allows them to remain in control of their production from distillation to aging of their Armagnacs in oak barrels from the region. Castarède Armagnacs are distinguished by longer aging than those required by the regulations. The Castarède family has one of the largest collections of vintages.
