Le Clos Floridène, in Pujols sur Ciron, in the Graves, has been gradually built up by Denis and Florence Dubourdieu since 1982, thanks to successive purchases of plots, located on the best wine-growing areas. The name of the vintage is forged thanks to the two first names of its founders. The picking is done manually in general in one go and if necessary by 2 successive sortings of golden grapes, arrived at their aromatic optimum. After a possible phase of pellicular maceration, the slow extraction of the juices is carried out sheltered from oxidation. The free run musts are rigorously separated from the press musts and their clarification is done by natural sedimentation. The fermentation takes place in barrels renewed by quarter. Aging lasts 8 months on lees regularly resuspended.
