Michel Couvreur – Whisky Very Sherried 25 ans
Very impressive color, very dark, lots of deposits in the bottom of the glass as well. It is not filtered. that’s for sure. The nose is raised and generous, abundant and fruity, full of sherry, honey too. The effects of wood envelop it all. The palate is mind-blowing once again, a bit waxy but uniform on sherry variants, always with that waxy impression in the background. At the end of the mouth, we can clearly feel the old side of the whiskey, a little dusty and of seeing which has rested in an aging cellar, especially noticeable on the very finish. It is rustic and noble as a general presentation. A superb whiskey but certainly not within the reach of all amateurs.
