Ideally situated on the Bages plateau, this 5th Cru Classé is now considered to be worth many 2nd Growths, thanks to the hard work and passion of the Cazes family for almost 70 years. Jean-Charles is now in charge of the 90 hectares of Lynch Bages vines, on a magnificent terroir of Garonne gravel.
With its incredible consistency of quality, Lynch Bages is much sought-after by hedonistic connoisseurs for its dazzling, sensual style: volume, mellowness and opulent fruit are achieved by harvesting at ultimate ripeness – the cru is often the last in Pauillac to be picked! But it also boasts qualities of structure, precision, freshness and ageing potential, thanks to its high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Richer in Merlot and Cabernet-Franc, its Second Vin Echo de Lynch Bages focuses on suppleness for more immediate tasting.
