Founded in 1832, Castarède is the oldest House of Armagnac, with a collection of vintages dating back to 1888. This unique know-how, built up by six successive generations, has earned them a worldwide reputation for excellence. Since 1832, traditions have not been lost. In winter, the stills bring that comforting flame that warms the heart. And under the beams blackened by centuries of evaporation, the long process of maturation takes place.

Successive cellar masters have stayed on in succession. They bear witness to the continuity of this traditional know-how in the selection of the best Bas Armagnac products, and in the methods of distillation, maturation and ageing.

For over 180 years, the Castarède family has lovingly nurtured a unique know-how in the service of Armagnac, first in their cellars at Pont de Bordes on the banks of the Baïse river, then in their Bas-Armagnac estate, Château de Maniban.

Their commitment and passion for armagnac have remained intact, and the water of immortality has preserved the enthusiasm of their eternal youth.
