An elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Botrosecco expresses all the freshness and intensity of the Maremma terroir. The nose opens with aromas of ripe red fruits, black pepper, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the structure is supple yet well-defined, with polished tannins, a beautiful liveliness, and a delicious finish of sweet spices and graphite. Vinified with precision and aged in barrels for a short time, it embodies a modern and approachable red, faithful to its coastal origins.
Located in the heart of the Maremma region, on the southern coast of Tuscany, the Le Mortelle estate has belonged to the Antinori family since 1999. Nestled between gentle hills and views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the estate covers over 270 hectares, approximately 170 of which are dedicated to vines. This land, long dedicated to traditional agriculture, has been passionately transformed into an exceptional vineyard, where international grape varieties meet the Tuscan spirit in a rich and bold dialogue.
The sandy and clay-limestone soils, the proximity to the sea, and the ideal exposure create a unique microclimate, particularly favorable to the development of grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, and Petit Verdot. The winery, built partially underground, embodies the Antinori philosophy: a deep respect for nature combined with discreet but precise technological innovation.
