This cuvée perfectly illustrates the finesse and balance typical of Vino Nobile. Made mainly from Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese), it expresses a seductive nose of black cherry, plum, and delicate floral notes, supported by a touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with supple tannins, a beautiful freshness, and a lingering finish. Aged in oak barrels for about a year, it retains the purity of the fruit while gaining complexity. Accessible even in its youth, it pairs well with Tuscan dishes, grilled meats, and mature cheeses.
Located between the hills of Montepulciano and Cortona, in southeastern Tuscany, the La Braccesca estate has belonged to the Antinori family since 1990. This vast estate, covering approximately 500 hectares, of which more than 250 are planted with vines, benefits from a mosaic of unique terroirs, where clay, sand, and limestone deposits blend harmoniously. It is in this stunningly beautiful natural setting that Sangiovese—here called Prugnolo Gentile—gives birth to one of the region’s most iconic wines: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
La Braccesca’s philosophy is fully in line with Antinori’s vision: to enhance the identity of each terroir through respectful viticulture and precise winemaking, combining tradition and modernity.
