The Quintessence cuvée from the Coume del Mas estate comes from old Grenache Noir vines, enjoying the best exposure, 300 meters above sea level behind the town of Banyuls.
The nose gives way to cooked fruit (blackcurrant, prune, etc.), while the mouth, extremely velvety, reflects the bitterness of the grape skin. The palate, all in restrained power, gives way in the finish to a generous freshness. It can be kept easily for 8 years, and can be consumed at any time with desserts based on dried fruits, dark chocolate, with hazelnuts, walnuts, blue cheeses and liquorice. A rich, concentrated and gourmet wine, it is recommended to drink it between 16 and 18°C.

Cuvée from old vines planted at altitude, on the heights of Banyuls, with a yield of around 15 hl/ha. Here the plants, often centenarians, undergo a rigorous climate which allows a slow maturation, and to concentrate the flavors and the complexity.
