Duas Quintas white is a Doura Supérieur wine from Quinta de Ervmoira, 150 meters above sea level, and Quinta dos Bons Ares, 600 meters above sea level, made with traditional grape varieties of the region. This is an authentic, fine, elegant white that expresses the potential of this sub-region.
The fine, expressive nose is dominated by citrus (tangerine) and ripe fruit (apricot and peach) aromas; floral notes appear as a characteristic of our white wines. Full-bodied, elegant, fine and very present palate, reflecting the quality of the grapes from this vintage where balance and “finesse” are the best descriptors.
Vinification:
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the vinification center in small boxes. After being selected at the winery’s reception, the grapes are vinified separately, according to grape variety and vineyard. The must is obtained by direct pressing after cold maceration. The purified must was fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperature (90%) and in French oak barrels (10%).
Food & wine pairing:
Duas Quintas white is excellent as an aperitif. We recommend it with salads, fish and marinated seafood. Also pleasant with poultry dishes, especially stuffed chicken or chicken galantine.
