Marlène Soria’s work is unique in the Languedoc. Her wines are inseparable from the will and charisma of their creator. Mysterious, magical, inexplicable at times, they impose a stylistic unity and a rare capacity to age, especially the whites, true UFOs for the region.
The Oro cuvée, made from rolle, roussanne and viognier, aged for nearly ten years in vats and bottles, and which has been produced on the heights of Saint-Pargoire since the early 1990s, is as limited as it is coveted. The reds, on the other hand, are quite tightly woven, even hard. Dominated by a solar syrah from very low yields, they are aged for a long time in the cellar in order to civilize their tannins (a minimum of two years in the vat, doubled by as much time in the bottle).
