Remelluri Rioja Reserva 2016 BIO

In the Middle Ages, La Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri belonged to the Monastery of Toloño. However, in the 19th century, a landowner from Labastida bought the main part and kept the vineyards that the monks of this monastery had cultivated. In 1967, Mr. Jaime Rodriguez Salis bought the land and La Granja therefore recovered its old lands.
Nowadays, the vineyard is made up of 150 hectares of vines (105 of which have been completely renovated), the origin of the wines of Remelluri (vintage, great vintage and high expression). The property preserves a necropolis from the High Middle Ages and a rock press, certainly the oldest wine-growing vestige in the region.
