Nestled in the heart of Alsace, a region renowned for its great aromatic white wines, Maison Hugel has produced a remarkably pure Gewurztraminer. This wine seduces with its intense bouquet of lychee, rose, and sweet spices, typical of the grape variety, supported by great freshness. On the palate, it combines aromatic richness, roundness, and a subtly peppery finish, without ever falling into excess. Produced from carefully selected old vines, it is vinified in accordance with Hugel’s dry style, in order to magnify the expression of the terroir. Ideal as an aperitif, it also pairs wonderfully with Asian cuisine, mature cheeses, or spicy dishes.

Domaine Hugel is a legendary Alsace vineyard, synonymous with excellence and tradition. For nearly 400 years, this family estate has produced wines that embody the soul and richness of the Alsatian terroir. Passed down from father to son for twelve generations, the Hugel family passionately cultivates noble grape varieties such as Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris.

The estate covers 30 hectares of vines located on the best slopes of Riquewihr, most of which are classified as Grand Cru, complemented by 110 hectares of vineyard partners. Each bottle reflects ancestral know-how and a modern approach to winemaking, combining precision, elegance, and purity.

Hugel white wines are true works of art: mineral Rieslings, expressive Gewurztraminers, and harmonious Pinot Gris. Their dry, unpretentious style highlights the grape variety’s distinctive character and the finesse of the Alsatian climate. A pioneer of Late Harvests and Noble Grain Selections, Hugel helped establish the strictest French AOC regulations for these exceptional wines. The estate’s historic cellars house century-old tuns, including the famous “Sainte Catherine” barrel dating from 1715, still in use today.
