The freshness of Cadillac!
On the nose, it unfolds harmonious aromas of licorice, blackcurrant, and a light hint of smoke, promising a bouquet that is both rich and elegant.
On the palate, its texture is velvety, supple yet powerful, with refined tannins that provide a beautiful structure.
This is a balanced wine: expressive enough to be enjoyed young, but which gains charm and roundness with a few years of aging. Perfect with grilled meats, game, or mature cheeses.
Château Reynon, in Béguey in the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux region, was purchased in 1958 by Florence Dubourdieu’s father, Jacques David; his daughter and son-in-law, Denis Dubourdieu, succeeded him in 1976.
Thanks to their efforts, Château Reynon is today one of the most renowned Premieres Côtes de Bordeaux wines.
Harvesting is generally carried out manually, usually all at once, and if necessary, by two successive sortings of golden grapes that have reached their aromatic optimum.
After a possible skin maceration phase, the juice is slowly extracted, protected from oxidation. The free-run musts are strictly separated from the press musts, and they are clarified by natural sedimentation.
Fermentation takes place in vats. The wine is aged on lees for 5 to 7 months until bottling.
