The 2019 reveals a rich and harmonious Médoc. The nose opens with cassis, blackberry, and black cherry, with a hint of soft spices. On the palate, the texture is supple, the tannins well-integrated, giving a velvety mouthfeel. There is a beautiful freshness, clean fruit, and subtle notes of cocoa or licorice on the finish. The overall balance is excellent, with a pleasant length. Ideal with grilled meats, duck breast, roasts, or slow-cooked dishes.

The estate is located in Macau, south of Margaux, on warm gravelly soils that promote optimal ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The vineyard, replanted in the 1970s after a long period of fallow land, was extensively restructured to achieve a recognized level of quality. Classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, Cambon La Pelouse is now managed by Treasury Wine Estates, which continues the modernization efforts while preserving the estate’s Médoc style.
