Cos d’Estournel 2020 Blanc is a rare and elegant white wine from the iconic estate in Saint-Estèphe, on the left bank of the Médoc. This vintage showcases the château’s sophisticated and refined style, combining freshness, complexity, and balance.
Produced mainly from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, with possibly small amounts of Muscadelle depending on the parcels, this Saint-Estèphe white stands out for its harmonious structure and aromatic intensity.
On the nose, it reveals a refined bouquet of ripe white fruits and citrus, with delicate floral notes and a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and precise, with beautiful tension and elegant freshness, supported by balanced acidity and a persistent finish, lightly buttery and mineral from careful barrel aging.
The Cos d’Estournel 2020 Blanc can be enjoyed today, but has a cellaring potential of 8 to 12 years, allowing its aromas and texture to develop and gain complexity over time.
An exceptional Saint-Estèphe white, perfect as an aperitif, with seafood, grilled fish, or refined dishes, appealing to lovers of elegant and structured white wines.
Château Cos d’Estournel is an iconic estate located in Saint-Estèphe, on the left bank of the Médoc. Founded in the 19th century by Gustave Estournel, the château is renowned for its powerful and elegant red wines, while also producing rare and refined white wines.
The estate covers approximately 75 hectares, with soils mainly composed of deep gravel over a clay-limestone subsoil, typical of the Médoc, promoting optimal grape ripeness and the production of balanced, structured wines.
Cos d’Estournel follows a rigorous viticultural approach: the vines are meticulously cared for, harvests are done by hand, and vinification combines modern techniques with barrel aging to showcase the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.
The estate is recognized for its unique style: a marriage of power, finesse, and complexity, whether for its legendary reds or its exceptional, rare, and elegant white, staying true to the identity of the Médoc while offering a distinctive character.
