Open without reserve on spices, violet and candied fruits, ample, dense but also very fresh on the palate, supported by firm and fine tannins and a very tasty vanilla oak. A great red of character, to be reserved for a long-simmered meat. This wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Between Mas Cristine and Coume del Mas, Philippe Gard has slipped the “Consolation” range, focused on indulgence and pleasure. The Wild Boar cuvée owes its name to the fact that this plot is the regular prey of wild boars, against whom a constant struggle has resulted in the production of ripe grapes with low yields.
