A rich and creamy dessert wine, which also has a saline side brought by the terroir. We were seduced by the aroma of this wine, very focused on fruits and white flowers, of great elegance.

Domaine Coume del Mas, founded in 2001 by Philippe Gard, has established itself today as one of the most brilliant ambassadors of the terroirs of Collioure and Banyuls, in Roussillon. Located on steep schist slopes plunging towards the Mediterranean, the estate benefits from extreme conditions: steep slopes, poor soils, intense sunshine, and a maritime influence.

Vineyard: approximately 15 hectares cultivated in fragmented plots on spectacular terraces. The traditional Roussillon grape varieties (Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan) express themselves with intensity and authenticity.

Philosophy: artisanal vineyard work, very low yields, hand-picked grapes, the pursuit of fruit purity and the maximum expression of the terroir.

The wines:

Collioure reds: concentrated, powerful, with great depth, with a remarkable balance between Mediterranean richness and mineral freshness.

Collioure whites: rare and elegant, offering beautiful aromatic complexity (white-fleshed fruits, flowers, saline notes) and a taut palate.

Banyuls: naturally sweet wines of great precision, combining aromatic intensity (cocoa, fig, candied fruits) and elegance, among the most sought-after of the appellation.

Domaine Coume del Mas is today recognized for its demanding and modern approach, which highlights the full richness of these unique maritime terroirs. Its vintages, often produced in limited quantities, appeal to lovers of wines of character, combining power, identity, and refinement.
