In the heart of Burgundy’s prestigious Côte de Nuits, the Grand Cru Échezeaux from Domaine des Perdrix reveals all the richness and complexity of Burgundy’s terroirs. The estate owns a 1.1465 hectare plot divided between two renowned climats: Échézeaux du-Dessus, planted in 1922 and representing 80% of the surface area, and Les Quartiers de Nuits, planted in 1945, covering the remaining 20%. These plots benefit from a south/southeast exposure on a gentle slope, with a predominantly clayey-limestone soil, rich in small stones, which gives finesse and depth to the wine. This Pinot Noir is distinguished by a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, fine spices and woody notes, supported by an elegant, structured and long palate. The Échézeaux Grand Cru from Domaine des Perdrix, thanks to its precision and its aging potential, stands out as an exceptional wine, ideal to accompany game, noble meats or mature cheeses.
Rooted in Burgundy for several generations, the Devillard family embodies a demanding and deeply human vision of wine. Through four iconic estates: Château de Chamirey in the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine des Perdrix in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine de La Ferté in Givry, and Domaine de La Garenne in the Mâconnais, they deploy expertise passed down with passion from generation to generation. This rare presence, from the north to the south of Burgundy, allows for a subtle and nuanced interpretation of the region’s great terroirs.
Far from passing trends, the Devillards pursue a clear philosophy: to reveal the identity of each climat with precision, balance, and elegance. Their commitment to respectful viticulture, based on plot-by-plot cultivation, sustainable agriculture, and yield control, demonstrates a deep respect for the vine and its environment.
Each wine thus bears the hallmark of a constant quest for excellence, blending tradition and modernity. True interpreters of their terroir, the Devillard Family invites you to rediscover the richness and diversity of Burgundy through sincere, precise and characterful vintages.
