The Gevrey-Chambertin Cazetiers 2014 from Domaine Faiveley is a refined and powerful Pinot Noir, representative of the elegance and depth of the great wines of the Côte de Nuits. This 1er Cru captivates with its deep ruby color and complex aromas of black cherry, ripe raspberry, forest floor, and subtle spice notes.
On the palate, it reveals a harmonious structure with well-integrated tannins and a silky texture, offering a perfect balance between richness and finesse. The long and expressive finish highlights the typicity of its terroir and the mastery of Domaine Faiveley.
A wine to enjoy now for its suppleness and fruit, or to cellar for several years to fully appreciate the complexity and depth of this emblematic 1er Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin.
The Gevrey‑Chambertin 1er Cru “Les Cazetiers” from Domaine Faiveley comes from a prestigious vineyard site in the Côte de Nuits, renowned for producing powerful, complex, and characterful wines. This southeast-facing plot covers over 4 hectares and benefits from a diverse soil composition — marl and limestone at higher elevations for finesse, deeper clay at the foot of the slope for structure and richness — contributing to the typical expression of this emblematic Burgundy terroir.
Founded in 1825 in Nuits‑Saint‑Georges, Domaine Faiveley is one of the oldest and most important vineyard owners in Burgundy, with over 120 hectares spread across Premiers Crus and Grands Crus throughout the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, and Côte Chalonnaise.
Today managed by Erwan Faiveley and his sister Eve, the house preserves traditional viticultural and winemaking methods, with particular attention to terroir expression and the natural elegance of the wines.
The old vines, planted between the 1930s and 2000s, give this Premier Cru a unique personality, and the optimal sun exposure combined with soil diversity produces grapes of exceptional quality, resulting in deep, complex, and perfectly typified wines.
Domaine Faiveley is thus recognized as a benchmark in Burgundy, combining family tradition, centuries-old expertise, and exceptional terroirs.
