The sweetest of the Ramos Pinto white Ports seduces with its aromatic richness and smoothness. The bouquet evokes honey, fig, candied pear, and almond blossom. On the palate, the velvety texture caresses the palate, supported by a discreet liveliness. The sweetness is perfectly integrated, giving an impression of controlled indulgence.
The balance between sweetness and freshness makes this wine irresistible as an aperitif or with fruity desserts. The Ramos Pinto style ensures a clear expression of fruit and consistent elegance. Notes of dried apricot and almond prolong the tasting. The smooth and luminous finish reveals a Mediterranean character. Lágrima embodies the tenderness and generosity of traditional white Port. A wine that charms with its sincerity and refinement.
Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, the eponymous winery has been a pillar of Port excellence for over a century. Located in the historic heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, it combines Douro tradition with an artistic and avant-garde vision. Its iconic vineyards—Quinta da Ervamoira and Quinta do Bom Retiro—spread across sun-drenched schist slopes, producing grapes of exceptional concentration and purity.
The winery’s philosophy is based on a balance between innovation and respect for the terroir: manual harvesting, varietal vinification, and meticulous aging in Gaia’s century-old cellars. Each Ramos Pinto Port expresses a unique, precise, and harmonious style, where natural sweetness combines with a rare structural elegance. From luminous whites to time-honored tawnys, from fiery rubies to majestic vintages, the wines all bear the Ramos Pinto signature: finesse, aromatic complexity, and crystalline length. The winery was also a pioneer in developing the Ervamoira terroir, the first quinta in the Douro to practice sustainable and integrated viticulture.
Today, Ramos Pinto embodies the soul of modern Port—a subtle blend of power, refinement, and authenticity—and remains one of the undisputed benchmarks in Portuguese winemaking.
