The 2021 Matarocchio is a single-varietal Cabernet Franc wine produced by Tenuta Guado al Tasso, a leading estate in the Bolgheri region of Tuscany. This wine is made from a rigorous selection of grapes from 25- to 30-year-old vines grown on clay-gravel soils. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, followed by additional bottle refinement before release.

The 2021 Matarocchio has a deep ruby red, almost purplish color. The nose is complex, blending aromas of ripe blackcurrant, elderberry, chocolate powder, spicy notes, and a light hint of warm smoke. On the palate, it offers a silky texture with fine tannins and a nice acidity, supporting a long, balsamic finish. This wine is distinguished by its elegant structure and aromatic depth.
