Located on a monopoly terroir within the classified climat Premier Cru “Les Ruelles”, this Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru from Château de Chamirey perfectly illustrates the finesse and depth of the great reds of the Côte Chalonnaise. Planted on clay-limestone soils rich in pebbles, this gently sloping plot produces a concentrated, elegant and structured Pinot Noir. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruits, licorice, violet and light woody touches resulting from controlled aging. On the palate, the attack is silky, the tannins fine and perfectly integrated, with a long and harmonious finish marked by the freshness of the terroir. Perfect with rack of lamb, roast duck breast or mushroom fricassee, Les Ruelles seduces with its distinguished character and aging potential.
