With a deep red color with garnet highlights, this wine presents aromas of red fruits and garrigue subtly enhanced by a light oakiness.
At the foot of the Montagne Noire, between woods and scrubland, Jean-Michel Cazes (owner of Château Lynch Bages, Grand Cru Classé Pauillac) has selected a quality plot to create a great AOC Minervois wine. Altitude, Atlantic mildness mixed with Mediterranean sun allow a slow and balanced maturation of the grapes. This plot then reveals the potential of the local grape varieties (Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre), their great typicity and their aromatic complexity. With a deep red color with garnet reflections, this wine presents aromas of red fruits and scrubland finely enhanced by a light woody note. We find these aromas very early on the palate, mixed with an elegant structure, marked by silky tannins, remarkably melted. The whole is long, balanced and of great finesse. To drink with red meats and game, lamb, goat, pork, all of course prepared in a southern style.
