The Pegaso Estate – Telmo Rodríguez

The Pegaso project was born from the desire of the renowned Spanish winemaker Telmo Rodríguez to revitalize old Garnacha vineyards located in the Sierra de Gredos, in the heart of Castilla y León. Known for his work rediscovering Spain’s historic terroirs, Telmo Rodríguez strives to produce wines that faithfully reflect their origin and identity.

The vineyards of Pegaso are situated at high altitude on granite soils, a terroir particularly suited to Garnacha. These conditions produce wines that are elegant, fresh, and expressive, with a beautiful purity of fruit and distinctive mineral character.

The estate works primarily with old vines, sometimes over 50 years old, cultivated with an environmentally respectful approach. Harvesting is done by hand, and vinification is carried out with precision to preserve all the finesse and balance of the grapes.
