The estate’s Grand Vin white wine is distinguished by its elegance and finesse.
It combines aromatic freshness and complexity: a light color, a clean nose of citrus, white flowers, and sometimes hints of exotic or apricot.
On the palate, it displays a fine texture and a generous acidity that adds liveliness, balanced by the roundness of the Sémillon.
The aging (partially in oak depending on the vintage) adds a dimension of depth without overpowering the fruit.
A saline and mineral finish offers beautiful persistence.
A gourmet white wine, capable of improving over time.
Château Malartic-Lagravière is a Graves Cru Classé located in Léognan (Pessac-Léognan), owned by the Bonnie family since 1997.
The estate covers approximately 73 hectares: 66 hectares for red wines, 7 hectares for white wines.
The vineyard is planted with classic Bordeaux grape varieties: for the red, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot; for the white, Sauvignon Blanc is predominantly accompanied by Sémillon.
The soils are typical of the Graves de Léognan region: dry, clayey gravel, with a shell-like limestone subsoil and clay veins, which ensures excellent drainage and a remarkable underlying minerality.
The estate practices sustainable viticulture, with manual harvesting, plot sorting, and environmental certifications (HVE, ISO 14001) to preserve the freshness and character of the terroir, and guarantee consistent quality.
A classic among the great Bordeaux wines!
