This ten-year-old Tawny comes from the legendary Ervamoira estate, nestled in the heart of the upper Douro. The nose offers a complex bouquet of dried fruits, spices, and honey. On the palate, the texture is creamy, marked by fig, date, and toasted hazelnut. The balance between sweetness and liveliness illustrates the Ramos Pinto style in all its precision.
The long aging in old barrels reveals an elegant patina and a fascinating aromatic depth. Notes of caramel and orange peel prolong the finish. The wine nevertheless retains a surprising freshness that makes it a Tawny of great elegance. Its complexity makes it an ideal companion for fruity desserts or mature cheeses. Quinta da Ervamoira 10 Years Old combines intensity and finesse with exemplary grace. A Port of emotion and pure harmony.
Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, the eponymous winery has been a pillar of Port excellence for over a century. Located in the historic heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, it combines Douro tradition with an artistic and avant-garde vision. Its iconic vineyards – Quinta da Ervamoira and Quinta do Bom Retiro – stretch across sun-drenched schist slopes, producing grapes of exceptional concentration and purity.
The winery’s philosophy is based on a balance between innovation and respect for the terroir: manual harvesting, varietal vinification, and meticulous aging in Gaia’s century-old cellars. Each Ramos Pinto Port expresses a unique, precise, and harmonious style, where natural sweetness combines with a rare structural elegance. From luminous whites to time-honored tawnys, from fiery rubies to majestic vintages, the wines all bear the Ramos Pinto signature: finesse, aromatic complexity, and crystalline length. The winery was also a pioneer in developing the Ervamoira terroir, the first quinta in the Douro to practice sustainable and integrated viticulture.
Today, Ramos Pinto embodies the soul of modern Port—a subtle blend of power, refinement, and authenticity—and remains one of the undisputed benchmarks in Portuguese winemaking.
