The Quinta de Ervamoira 2019 is an iconic Portuguese red wine from the Douro Valley, produced by Ramos Pinto using the region’s traditional grape varieties — mainly Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca.

This wine is made from carefully selected grapes grown on the steep terraces of Quinta de Ervamoira, a historic estate considered the birthplace of modern viticulture in the Douro.

On the nose, it reveals intense aromatic complexity, combining ripe dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), red fruits, floral hints (violet), and subtle spices.
On the palate, the wine is rich and structured, with silky tannins and a vibrant freshness that balances its concentration. The texture is elegant, and the finish is long and harmonious, with mineral and lightly oaked notes.

Quinta de Ervamoira is a historic wine estate located in the Douro Valley, Portugal, on the right bank of the rio Côa. It belongs to the house of Ramos Pinto, founded in 1880 by Adolfo Ramos Pinto, and is one of the most iconic vineyards in the Douro, renowned for the quality and longevity of its wines.

The estate covers approximately 80 hectares of terraced vineyards, planted mainly with traditional Douro grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinto Cão. The soils are poor and granitic, typical of the region, promoting high grape concentration and intense aromatic richness.
