This white Sancerre comes from an old plot facing due south, where the deeply rooted vines offer a rich and structured expression of the terroir. The nose seduces with aromas of ripe fruit, orange peel, white flowers and a discreetly smoky touch. On the palate, the attack is generous, carried by a beautiful concentration and a subtle minerality. Aging on fine lees brings volume and an elegant texture. The finish is long, salivating, and has a beautiful aromatic persistence. This racy wine is ideal for fine food: noble fish, poultry in sauce, mature cheeses. Located in Verdigny, in the heart of the Sancerre appellation, Domaine Daulny is a family estate passed down through several generations. Today, François Daulny oversees the estate’s 16 hectares, spread across some twenty plots with varied soils (flint, limestone, white earth). This diversity of terroirs allows for the production of precise, expressive, and typically Sancerre wines. The work in the vineyard is reasoned and meticulous, with a deep respect for nature and tradition. In the cellar, winemaking combines classic and modern expertise to reveal the purity of Sauvignon Blanc and the elegance of Pinot Noir.
