The Sociando-Mallet 2022 is a classic Haut-Médoc, both elegant and powerful, showcasing the full typicity of the Bordeaux terroir. Its deep ruby-red color with violet reflections immediately catches the eye, announcing a wine of great intensity.
On the nose, it is complex and refined, with aromas of ripe dark fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, complemented by notes of plum, graphite, and delicate oaky touches from barrel aging.
On the palate, it impresses with a perfect balance between power and finesse. The tannins are structured yet silky, supported by harmonious freshness. Flavors of dark fruits blend with subtle spicy and lightly vanilla notes, delivering a long and persistent finish, promising excellent aging potential.
Food pairings: ideal with duck breast, roast beef, dishes with sauce, or aged cheeses.
This vintage showcases the full expertise of Sociando-Mallet: a wine of great finesse, power, and elegance, perfect for lovers of classic Bordeaux and to enrich any wine cellar.
Located in the Haut-Médoc, northwest of Saint-Julien, the Sociando-Mallet estate is an iconic Bordeaux vineyard, renowned for producing powerful, elegant, and balanced wines. Founded in the 19th century, it is now run with passion and precision to respect the terroir’s typicity and the quality of the wines.
The estate covers approximately 90 hectares of vineyards, mainly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with some plots of Petit Verdot. The vineyard benefits from the gravelly soils typical of the Haut-Médoc, which ensure good drainage and a high concentration of grapes.
Sociando-Mallet wines are distinguished by their power, finesse, and aging potential. Aging takes place in carefully selected oak barrels, adding elegance and aromatic complexity while preserving the natural expression of the terroir.
The estate combines tradition and modernity: hand-harvested grapes, rigorous selection, and precise vinification produce wines that are both refined and approachable, appealing to lovers of classic Bordeaux as well as the most discerning connoisseurs.
