This classically elegant vintage highlights the finesse and depth of the Douro. The nose charms with aromas of black plum, dried rose, and fine cocoa. On the palate, the dense, velvety texture is accompanied by a structuring freshness. The richness of the fruit blends with a mineral framework that gives the wine its balance and tension. Each sip reveals a growing complexity, between the sweetness of the ripe fruit and controlled tannic power. The barrel aging preserves the brightness of the fruit and the aromatic precision. The finish, long and silky, evokes chocolate, fig, and oriental spices. This Port combines intensity and harmony with rare grace. The style is pure, classic, perfectly Ramos Pinto. Vintage 2015 expresses the serenity and quiet strength of great traditional Port.
Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, the eponymous winery has been a pillar of Port excellence for over a century. Located in the historic heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, it combines Douro tradition with an artistic and avant-garde vision. Its iconic vineyards—Quinta da Ervamoira and Quinta do Bom Retiro—spread across sun-drenched schist slopes, producing grapes of exceptional concentration and purity.
The winery’s philosophy is based on a balance between innovation and respect for the terroir: manual harvesting, varietal vinification, and meticulous aging in Gaia’s century-old cellars. Each Ramos Pinto Port expresses a unique, precise, and harmonious style, where natural sweetness combines with a rare structural elegance. From luminous whites to time-honored tawnys, from fiery rubies to majestic vintages, the wines all bear the Ramos Pinto signature: finesse, aromatic complexity, and crystalline length. The winery was also a pioneer in developing the Ervamoira terroir, the first quinta in the Douro to practice sustainable and integrated viticulture.
Today, Ramos Pinto embodies the soul of modern Port—a subtle blend of power, refinement, and authenticity—and remains one of the undisputed benchmarks in Portuguese winemaking.
