This exceptional Vintage comes exclusively from the Ervamoira estate, a jewel of the Douro Superiore. The nose evokes violet, blackberry, blackcurrant, and notes of warm stone typical of schist. On the palate, the density of the fruit is balanced with a striking mineral freshness. The tannins, powerful yet elegant, reflect the purity of the terroir.
Each nuance seems precisely crafted: depth, energy, and elegance. The controlled aging preserves the transparency of the fruit and the liveliness of the vintage. The long and noble finish combines dark chocolate, graphite, and black fruits. The youth of the wine promises aging potential for several decades. Decanted for a long time, it offers luminous intensity and a sumptuous texture. Vintage 2017 Single Quinta da Ervamoira is an exceptional Port, vibrant and mineral, a true homage to the eternal Douro.
Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, the eponymous winery has been a pillar of Port excellence for over a century. Located in the historic heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, it combines Douro tradition with an artistic and avant-garde vision. Its iconic vineyards—Quinta da Ervamoira and Quinta do Bom Retiro—spread across sun-drenched schist slopes, producing grapes of exceptional concentration and purity.
The winery’s philosophy is based on a balance between innovation and respect for the terroir: manual harvesting, varietal vinification, and meticulous aging in Gaia’s century-old cellars. Each Ramos Pinto Port expresses a unique, precise, and harmonious style, where natural sweetness combines with a rare structural elegance. From luminous whites to time-honored tawnys, from fiery rubies to majestic vintages, the wines all bear the Ramos Pinto signature: finesse, aromatic complexity, and crystalline length. The winery was also a pioneer in developing the Ervamoira terroir, the first quinta in the Douro to practice sustainable and integrated viticulture.
Today, Ramos Pinto embodies the soul of modern Port—a subtle blend of power, refinement, and authenticity—and remains one of the undisputed benchmarks in Portuguese winemaking.
