Inspired by the House’s know-how around a single harvest year, this pure Chardonnay comes from a few parcels of micoteau concentrated in the “La Côte” vineyard, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Back in the 1930s, the House came up with the idea of forging a bubble of lesser effervescence, drawn in small mousse, preserving the wine’s lightness and hedonism. This champagne draws its singular chalky strength from these limestone soils, with an insolent, infinite freshness. Over time, it reveals the power and identity of these great terroirs.
“An ode to the passage of time, to the brilliance of Chardonnay Grands Crus on limestone soils, and to Louis Roederer’s assertive, vinous yet subtle style.” – Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Cellar Master at Louis Roederer
