The Château Villa Bel Air, since 1988 in the hands of the Cazes family in 1988, completely restructured the vineyard and the technical installations. Struck by the spirit of the place, and its Italian imprint, Jean-Michel Cazes gave the Château its definitive name “Villa Bel-Air”. The Cazes Group also owns Château Lynch Bages, Grand Cru Classé in Pauillac. With this same team they make high quality wines.
The red of Château Villa Bel-Air presents the refined character of the Graves and a balance that reflects the harmony of the grape varieties which include 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.
Its nose is loaded with ripe red fruits and violets, with woody nuances of vanilla and spices. Structured, its body offers volume and an ample and round finish on fine and liquorice tannins.
This superb Graves, vinified by the team of Château Lynch Bages – Grand Cru Classé in Pauillac, is aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months. The blend of two Cabernets and Merlot gives a wine with silky tannins whose finely toasted notes mingle with aromas of black fruits.
