Paul Jaboulet Aîné’s Côte-Rôtie “Domaine des Pierrelles” is an exceptional cuvée born on the steep slopes of the Côte Blonde, in the heart of the northern Rhône Valley. The vines, planted between 1974 and 1992, are rooted in decomposing mica schist soils, where the bedrock outcrops in places, giving the wine tension and depth. First produced in 2009, this 100% Syrah cuvée reveals a refined bouquet of black fruits, violet, sweet spices, and mineral smoke. On the palate, the wine combines power and elegance, with a silky texture, delicate tannins, and a long finish carried by the freshness of the terroir. Perfect for aging, it will ideally accompany savory dishes such as duck breast, roast lamb, or mushroom risotto.

Founded in 1834 on the Hermitage hill in Tain-l’Hermitage, the Paul Jaboulet Aîné estate oversees an exceptional winemaking heritage, bringing together the most renowned terroirs of the northern Rhône Valley. Today, it oversees 105 hectares of vineyards, stretching from Cornas to Côte-Rôtie, in the heart of the most prestigious appellations of the northern Rhône Valley.

Thanks to precise vinification and meticulous work in the vineyards, the estate creates tailor-made vintages that accurately express the richness and diversity of their terroirs of origin. Since 2016, all of the wines produced have been certified organic, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and respect for the environment.
