This iconic Provence wine impresses with its depth, structure, and timeless elegance. A traditional blend dominated by Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault, it reveals a complex nose of black fruits, sweet spices, undergrowth, and blond tobacco. On the palate, it stands out for its finesse, silky tannins, and unique ability to age gracefully. A wine of character, distinguished by a distinctly classic and aristocratic style.

Halfway up the slope, facing Sainte-Victoire Mountain, the estate spreads out like a mosaic within a wooded setting, on north-facing slopes with limestone scree soils. Rebuilt by the Rougier family after the phylloxera epidemic, the vineyard now boasts incredibly long-lived plots, some exceeding 125 years old.

Cultivated with passion and rigor, the vines are maintained without weedkillers or chemical fertilizers, with all manual labor: goblet pruning, hand-harvesting, and careful attention to soil cultivation. The deep roots of these old vines express the purity and identity of the terroir.

The cellars, originally dug by the Grand Carmelite order in the 16th century and developed over the generations, offer remarkable natural temperature and humidity conditions. They provide an ideal setting for the extended aging of the estate’s wines.

For nearly two centuries, the Rougier family has infused the château with a unique style. It was Jean Rougier, a visionary craftsman, who brought the site’s recognition as an independent AOC in 1946, giving rise to the Palette appellation. Today, René and Jean-François continue this family tradition, crafting wines of rare nobility, a faithful reflection of an exceptional terroir.
