The Musigny Grand Cru 2019 from Domaine Joseph Drouhin is one of the greatest red wines of Burgundy, coming from one of the most mythical terroirs of the Côte de Nuits. Located in the village of Chambolle-Musigny, the Musigny climat is renowned for producing Pinot Noir of rare finesse, combining elegance, depth, and exceptional longevity.

The Domaine Joseph Drouhin, a historic estate founded in 1880 in Beaune, is today one of Burgundy’s leading producers. It is distinguished by a highly respectful approach to the vineyard, with a large share of biodynamic farming and a winemaking philosophy focused on purity of fruit and expression of terroir.

The Musigny terroir is composed of complex soils combining limestone marl and fine clay, with an ideal gently sloping exposure. These unique conditions allow the production of wines of great delicacy as well as remarkable depth.

The 2019 vintage is marked by excellent ripeness and outstanding balance. The nose reveals refined aromas of red and black fruits—cherry, raspberry, and blackberry—complemented by floral notes (violet, rose), subtle spices, and elegant mineral nuances.

On the palate, the wine is silky and ethereal, supported by extremely fine tannins. The whole is highly precise, both intense and delicate, with remarkable length and a purity that is typical of the greatest Musigny wines.
