Located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze is one of the most prestigious Grand Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin. The “Ouvrées Rodin” cuvée from Domaine Faiveley comes from an exceptional historic parcel, renowned for the precision and quality of its terroir.
The 2019 vintage benefited from particularly favourable weather conditions in Burgundy, marked by excellent grape ripeness and remarkable natural concentration. The wine shows a harmonious balance of power, structure and aromatic finesse.
Made exclusively from Pinot Noir, this Grand Cru reveals a complex nose of red and black fruits, with aromas of cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant, complemented by floral notes of violet, fine spices, undergrowth and a subtle minerality.
On the palate, Clos de Bèze “Ouvrées Rodin” 2019 stands out for its depth, perfectly controlled structure and very fine tannins. The overall profile is both powerful and elegant, supported by vibrant tension and a long, persistent finish.
A benchmark ageing wine, this cuvée fully expresses the grandeur and complexity of Burgundy’s greatest terroirs.
Founded in 1825, Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most iconic wine estates. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, it has gradually established itself as a key player in both the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, thanks to an extensive vineyard heritage and a constant pursuit of quality.
Today, the estate is managed by the seventh generation of the Faiveley family and owns a vast vineyard portfolio spread across numerous prestigious appellations, including some of Burgundy’s most renowned Grand Crus and Premier Crus.
The vineyards are mainly planted with Pinot Noir for red wines and Chardonnay for white wines. Burgundy’s diverse soils, rich in limestone and marl, allow for a highly precise expression of terroir, often on a parcel-by-parcel basis.
The estate follows a rigorous and demanding viticultural approach, with particular attention given to each climat. Winemaking is adapted to the specific characteristics of each parcel in order to preserve terroir identity and fully express the finesse and complexity of the wines.
The wines of Domaine Faiveley are distinguished by their structure, elegance and ageing potential. They reflect both the richness of Burgundy’s great terroirs and the historic expertise of a leading wine estate in the region.
