Michel Couvreur – Whisky Intravagan’za

INTRAVAGAN’ZA is a malt grain spirit drink. Without assembly, single malt distilled in Scotland and matured for three years in fresh barrels of very fine Moscatel wine and Oloroso. Its aging is done in very humid parts of the cellar in order to lose a lot of alcoholic concentration and obtain a very silky alcohol. After three years, it encounters a drop of 12 to 13%, obtaining a natural degree of 50% alc.vol., maintaining a limpid robe.

Scent of green almond, frangipane typical of very young malts, honeyed, finely woody and fruity. Lively but silky on the palate. Unctuous flavors reminiscent of pear alcohol, which quickly evolve into finer and floral flavors supported by a hint of smoke. Bottling at 50° offers a lot of roundness and smoothness, a surprising length and complexity for its young age.

Serve chilled to contain its power, but letting it cool slowly will reveal its depth.
