A vintage in two phases, 2018 was marked by a rainy winter followed by heavy rainfall in the spring. The second phase began in July, heralding the arrival of a radiant summer until the harvest, which began serenely on September 19 with the Merlot and ended on October 9. The berries were in perfect health, rich in sugar and polyphenols.
The fruit of a very fine year for Bordeaux, Écho de Lynch-Bages 2018 displays the distinction that is the hallmark of great Pauillac wines. Intensely expressive, the aromatic bouquet is underpinned by black fruit and spicy notes. On the palate, the aromatic complexity is combined with a solid tannic structure. A very fine vintage of Écho de Lynch-Bages.
