Tenuta Guado al Tasso (Antinori) – Bolgheri

Tenuta Guado al Tasso, owned by the Antinori family, is one of the most prestigious estates in the Bolgheri area on the Tuscan coast. It is a key reference among “Super Tuscans” and has established itself as one of the essential names in contemporary Italian winemaking.

The estate lies within the Bolgheri Amphitheatre, a unique terroir open to the Tyrrhenian Sea. This exceptional location provides a mild climate strongly influenced by maritime breezes, which temper summer heat and promote slow, even ripening of the grapes.

The soils are highly diverse, composed of sand, clay, silt and limestone zones, offering a wide range of expressions and an excellent foundation for producing complex, structured wines. This geological richness allows each grape variety to be planted in the most suitable parcel.

The vineyard is mainly planted with Bordeaux varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, which here achieve a particularly elegant and Mediterranean expression.

The estate’s philosophy is based on precision viticulture, with meticulous attention paid to every parcel and every stage of winemaking. The goal is to produce wines that combine power, balance and finesse, while fully respecting the identity of the Bolgheri terroir.
