Château Cos d’Estournel 2022 is an exceptional vintage that beautifully showcases the estate’s iconic style: power, freshness, precision and elegance. Despite a vintage marked by heat and drought, the terroir of Cos d’Estournel allows the wine to retain remarkable freshness and excellent balance.

On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of ripe dark fruit, blackcurrant, liquorice and spices, complemented by delicate oak notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and well-structured, with fine, silky tannins. The finish is long, fresh and persistent.

A powerful, elegant and deeply complex Saint-Estèphe, with excellent ageing potential. It pairs beautifully with red meats, lamb, game and slow-cooked dishes.

Château Cos d’Estournel – Saint-Estèphe

Located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, in the Médoc, Château Cos d’Estournel is one of Bordeaux’s most iconic estates. Classified as a Second Growth in the 1855 Classification, the estate stands out not only for the quality of its wines but also for its spectacular architecture, inspired by the travels to the Orient of its founder, Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel, nicknamed the “Maharajah of Saint-Estèphe.”

Founded at the end of the 18th century, the estate now covers approximately 100 hectares of vineyards, planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Since 2000, Cos d’Estournel has been owned by Michel Reybier. The estate follows a philosophy centred on excellence, precision and innovation, notably with its gravity-flow winery, inaugurated in 2008.

The wines of Cos d’Estournel are renowned for their power, elegance, freshness and exceptional ageing potential. Characterful wines that are deeply rooted in the unique terroir of Saint-Estèphe.
