Pauillac – Second Wine of the Estate
Produced from the same prestigious terroirs as its illustrious elder sibling, Echo de Lynch-Bages 2025 elegantly embodies the spirit and expertise of Château Lynch-Bages. A true gateway into the world of this iconic Pauillac estate, this second wine charms with its accessibility, precision, and faithful expression of the terroir.
The blend, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and complemented by Merlot, reveals an intense bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, and violet, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and a subtle hint of cedar. The nose stands out for its aromatic freshness and beautiful purity of fruit.
On the palate, Echo de Lynch-Bages 2025 offers a supple and harmonious texture, supported by fine and elegant tannins. Flavours of ripe black fruit unfold generously, enhanced by vibrant freshness and a perfectly balanced structure. The discreet oak ageing accompanies the wine with finesse, bringing complexity and length without ever overshadowing the fruit.
Both refined and immediately appealing, this vintage perfectly reflects the style of Pauillac: precision, balance, and distinction. More approachable in its youth than the Grand Vin, Echo de Lynch-Bages 2025 nevertheless possesses the structure required to develop gracefully in the cellar for many years.
Elegant, harmonious, and expressive, it provides a superb introduction to the world of Lynch-Bages while offering a distinct personality of its own, marked by fruit, freshness, and pure drinking pleasure.
Echo de Lynch-Bages is the second wine of the prestigious Château Lynch-Bages, one of the most iconic estates in the Pauillac appellation. Its name refers to the “echoes” of the Grand Vin, faithfully reflecting the style, identity, and expertise that have made the estate renowned for generations.
The history of Château Lynch-Bages dates back to the 18th century, when the Irish Lynch family gave its name to the property. Classified as a Fifth Growth (Cinquième Grand Cru Classé) in the famous 1855 Classification, the château experienced remarkable development under the leadership of the Cazes family, owners since 1939. To this day, the family continues its relentless pursuit of excellence, making Lynch-Bages one of the benchmark estates of the Médoc.
The vineyard extends over nearly 100 hectares in the heart of the Bages plateau in Pauillac. The vines are planted on deep Garonne gravel ridges resting on a limestone subsoil, a terroir particularly well suited to the expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. This unique combination allows for the production of wines that combine power, structure, freshness, and exceptional ageing potential.
Created to offer a more approachable interpretation of the Lynch-Bages style, Echo de Lynch-Bages benefits from the same level of care and attention as the Grand Vin, from vineyard management to vinification and ageing. The selected parcels allow the production of a wine that is accessible earlier while preserving the elegance, precision, and distinctly Pauillac character for which the estate is renowned.
Since the inauguration of a spectacular new gravity-flow winery in 2020, winemaking precision has reached an even higher level. This state-of-the-art facility preserves the integrity of the fruit and allows each vineyard parcel to express its full potential.
Through Echo de Lynch-Bages, the estate offers a modern, generous, and refined interpretation of Pauillac, combining vibrant fruit, harmonious structure, and immediate enjoyment while retaining the unmistakable signature of the great terroirs of Lynch-Bages.
