The nose is delicately floral and fruity, revealing aromas of black cherry, violet, graphite, and sweet spices, with a subtly oaky undertone.

Located in Ludon-Médoc, at the gateway to the Médoc wine region, Château La Lagune is an iconic property, classified as a Third Grand Cru Classé in 1855.

With a rich history dating back to the 18th century, this estate enjoys centuries of recognition, today maintained with passion and modernity by Caroline Frey, a talented oenologist who has been at the helm of the property since 2004, as well as Maison Jaboulet.

The vineyard extends over a gravelly hillside typical of the left bank, resting on a subsoil of deep, fine gravel, ensuring excellent drainage. The grape varieties, faithful to Médoc tradition, feature Cabernet Sauvignon, combined with Merlot and, to a lesser extent, Petit Verdot, bringing complexity, freshness, and balance to the blends.

Managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, La Lagune is today one of the rare classified growths to combine great Bordeaux classicism with a strong environmental commitment, serving a pure and vibrant expression of the terroir.
