The Château Lafite Rothschild 2016 is one of the estate’s most outstanding recent successes, originating from the prestigious Pauillac appellation, on the left bank of the Médoc. Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé 1855, it belongs to the absolute elite of Bordeaux wines and stands as one of the world’s benchmark expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon.

The estate, owned by the Rothschild family since 1868, is built on an exceptional terroir of deep gravel soils over limestone and sandy subsoils. This geological structure ensures perfect drainage and promotes slow, even ripening of the grapes—ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon expression.

The vineyard is predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a small proportion of Petit Verdot. This blend defines the wine’s signature style: finesse, precision, and remarkable ageing capacity.
