Le Pin 2019 is one of the most legendary and exclusive wines of Pomerol. Produced from the Thienpont family’s tiny vineyard, this vintage brilliantly embodies the estate’s signature style: exceptional concentration, a silky texture and remarkable precision.

The nose is remarkably deep and complex, combining ripe black fruit, plum, violet, truffle, fine spices and delicate oak notes. On the palate, the wine is dense and velvety, supported by remarkably fine tannins. Despite its power, it remains perfectly balanced thanks to beautiful freshness and great precision. The finish is exceptionally long, complex and elegant.

The 2019 vintage offers exceptional ageing potential and will gain further complexity over several decades in bottle.

The Estate – Le Pin

Located in the heart of Pomerol, Château Le Pin is one of Bordeaux’s most legendary and exclusive estates. Its modern history began in 1979, when Jacques Thienpont, a Belgian wine merchant from a renowned winemaking family, acquired a small property of barely one hectare.

The estate now covers approximately 2.7 hectares, situated on an exceptional Pomerol terroir composed notably of gravel and iron-rich clay. Combined with very low yields, this remarkable terroir produces grapes of exceptional concentration and finesse.

The vineyard is planted predominantly with Merlot, complemented by a small proportion of Cabernet Franc. Each plot is meticulously tended, while the winemaking is carried out with the utmost care to preserve the purity and expression of the terroir.

Over just a few decades, Le Pin has established itself as one of the world’s most sought-after great wines. Its extremely limited production makes it exceptionally rare and highly prized by collectors and serious Bordeaux enthusiasts.
