Château Rauzan-Ségla is one of the most prestigious estates in the Margaux appellation. Classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Grand Cru Classé) in the 1855 Classification, the estate is renowned for the elegance of its wines and the finesse of its terroir. For several decades, it has been dedicated to producing highly precise wines, combining Bordeaux tradition with modern winemaking techniques.
The vineyard is planted on deep gravel soils mixed with clay and limestone, providing ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Each plot is vinified separately to preserve the identity of the terroir and achieve highly complex blends.
The 2019 vintage stands out for its remarkable balance. The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry, along with notes of violet, cedar, sweet spices and beautifully integrated oak. On the palate, the attack is full and silky, supported by refined tannins, fresh vibrancy and a long, elegant finish.
With excellent ageing potential, Château Rauzan-Ségla 2019 will continue to gain complexity over the years. It pairs perfectly with beef fillet, rack of lamb, game dishes or mature cheeses. A true reference of Margaux, this wine expresses with precision the full nobility of its appellation.
