Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2025 – Saint-Julien: 92-94/100 Pts
The second wine of the prestigious Château Lagrange, Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2025 embodies all the elegance and expertise of this renowned Médoc estate. Produced from a rigorous selection of the estate’s younger vines, this Saint-Julien charms with its balance, freshness, and approachable character from an early age.
Its deep colour reveals an expressive bouquet of ripe black fruits, blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry, complemented by delicate spicy and subtle oak notes. On the palate, the wine is supple and harmonious, supported by fine tannins and a vibrant freshness that brings both length and generosity.
Elegant, refined, and quintessentially Saint-Julien, Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2025 pairs beautifully with grilled meats, roasted poultry, lamb, and mature cheeses. A highly enjoyable wine that faithfully reflects the quality and style of its illustrious château.
Château Lagrange – Saint-Julien
Located in the heart of the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, Château Lagrange is one of the largest and most renowned estates in the Médoc. Classified as a Third Growth (Troisième Grand Cru Classé) in the famous 1855 Classification, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir of Garonne gravel soils resting on a clay-limestone subsoil, particularly well suited to the expression of Bordeaux grape varieties.
Since its acquisition by the Japanese group Suntory Holdings in 1983, the estate has undergone significant investment, enabling it to regain its position among the benchmark properties of Saint-Julien. The vineyard is predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot, all cultivated with a constant commitment to quality and environmental stewardship.
Renowned for the consistency of its wines, Château Lagrange produces vintages that combine power, elegance, and finesse. The estate’s wines are distinguished by their excellent ageing potential, remarkable balance, and authentic expression of the Saint-Julien terroir.
