Created in the 19th century, the Mas Cristine is located at the southern limit of the AOC Côtes du Roussillon. It has an ideal location overlooking the sea, in the middle of cork oaks. The soils are made up of a mixture of schist, quartz and red clay. Established since 1810, the estate has magnificent vines of Syrah, Grenache, Roussanne, Marsanne and Muscat. Yields never exceed 30 hl/ha.
The color is dark but translucent garnet. The nose is fine, deep, on candied red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), bay leaf and pepper. The palate is slender, stretched by an invisible thread, with a silky, enveloping substance, exhaling ripe raspberry, bitter orange peel, pit and spices. The finish is finely chewy, with liquorice/spicy notes and noble bitterness that prevents the alcohol from taking over.
