The Palacios Remondo family (also known as Herencia Remondo) has a four-generation winemaking history. It was José Palacios Remondo who had the greatest influence on the development of the bodega. As a visionary, he sent his sons to study at the best French wine schools, and instilled in them a strong vocation. Meanwhile, he worked hard to select the best vines in La Rioja, while respecting the region’s winemaking traditions. With 100 hectares at the foot of the Yerga mountains, the grapes grown here are the result of a rigorous selection process. There is very little mechanisation, which means that the bunches are treated with the utmost respect during transfer. In 2000, Alvaro Palacios took over the estate, reinforcing his desire to create unique, high-quality wines. The estate has been rewarded by the best critics (Robert Parker, Wine Spectator) for years, and its wines enjoy worldwide success.
